On behalf of the children, staff and trustees, welcome to Khalsa Primary School.
We are part of the Sikh Academies Trust and welcome children from all backgrounds, cultures and starting points so that we can support them to learn, thrive and grow into exemplary citizens who make a positive contribution to our world.
Khalsa Primary school is an oversubscribed school with pupils on a waiting list which has doubled over the years. Our aim is to offer our pupils the best possible education which goes beyond the classroom. We have a firm belief that there should be no glass ceiling and all our pupils should achieve the highest possible academic excellence no matter what their starting points or needs.
Through providing a world class education and embracing our values, we work together with the school community to inspire our pupils to not only want to achieve highly but also to have a deep desire to make a positive contribution to our world- creating our very own world changers. Having high aspirations for our pupils was also recognised in our Outstanding Ofsted report, ‘Pupils respond to teachers’ very high expectations with gleeful enthusiasm and give all activities their full commitment and concentration. They become confident learners, achieve exceptionally well and are very well prepared to become exemplary citizens.’ (Ofsted January 2020)
We use the National Curriculum for England as a starting point to develop our very own world class curriculum which is carefully sequenced from Nursery to Year 6. We are passionate about offering every child every possible chance to succeed and both discover and further nurture their talent and skills. To do this, we provide a diverse range of learning, enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities appropriate to each child’s age and unique stage of development.
We would love to invite you to learn a little more about what makes us one of the best schools in the area. Step inside our wonderful school to explore our facilities, meet our talented and nurturing staff and discover the high quality learning opportunities.

We at Khalsa Primary School are extremely proud of our former pupil Amrit Singh Mann who has recently received an amazing accolade being named as the Outstanding Young Journalist by the Asian Media Awards. After just joining Sky News as a reporter a few years ago, this Award is testimony to his immense hard work, astounding talent and huge dedication to journalism.
He is a true role model to all our pupils at KPS on how successful they can be after leaving school and carrying the Sikh identity with them in whichever future career they wish to pursue.
An honourable moment at the Awards Ceremony was when Amrit Singh Mann paid respect to his parents who were present with him and everyone in the room gave them a around of applause.
We wish Amrit Singh Mann more success in the future and we hope he keeps up the good work and carry on inspiring other pupils at KPS and students at Pioneer Secondary Academy to also achieve great heights in their chosen career paths too.
Well done Amrit. You well and truly deserved this Award. We hope this is the beginning of more to come.

A huge thank you to @khalsaaid for inviting us to their annual dinner at the Radisson Blu, Heathrow. It was inspiring to hear from founder & CEO Ravi Singh about the incredible humanitarian work Khalsa Aid continues to do around the world - including their current flood relief efforts in Punjab 🌍💛.
As a lovely coincidence, we also found ourselves seated with former KPS student @amritsmannz from Sky News. We had a brilliant evening.

A Perfect Finish to a Summer of Cricket!
On Wednesday 24th September, pupils from Khalsa Primary School went to Emmbrook and Bearwood Cricket Club (RG41 1JB) to attend a SEND skills festival. This was a lovely way to finish what has been a magnificent summer of cricket.
The selected pupils ran some skills stations to practice their batting, bowling and fielding before finishing off with some mini games. Altogether, we had a wonderful time outdoors—the weather was lovely, and it was the perfect chance to enjoy the last of the sunshine.
Thank you to our wonderful PE Teacher Mrs. Rakhra for giving these special children the opportunity to participate in this unique event.
At the end, all the kids received their medals and little gifts from the Dynamo Cricket team. Well done to everyone who took part—we’re already looking forward to our next trips!

KPS visiting the PGA Golf Championships
On Tuesday 9th September, some of our Year 5 pupils had a fantastic opportunity to visit PGA Golf Championships at Wentworth golf course, with Mr H. Sahota, our Executive Headteacher at SAT.
During their visit, the children had an exciting and memorable experience the day before the tournament officially began. They had the opportunity to practise some shots, walk all the way to the famous 18th hole, and see the course up close. Along the way, they even caught a glimpse of some of the well-known players as they were getting ready to play.
The atmosphere was full of excitement, and the children enjoyed learning about the skill and focus needed in golf. As part of the visit, they also took part in a special writing workshop, where they reflected on what they had seen and practised expressing their thoughts creatively. The day was both educational and inspiring, giving the children a chance to enjoy the world of professional golf while also developing their own writing skills.
