On Thursday 23rd February 2023, parents were invited to join a well-being coffee morning at Khalsa Primary School; it was huge success! The event was hugely appreciated by the attendees who were given an insight on how to keep themselves and their children safe whilst using the internet.

Understanding online safety is tricky for all ages. Advice by Julia from SEBDOS was given to help parents understand and learn about how to stay safe online as a family.

Parents were also able to speak to our in-house professionals regarding any information and support around special education learning needs as well as understanding how children are supported in school with their worries and well-being.

Parents were also given a taste of how to understand mental wellbeing for themselves and their children. Mental health is a normal part of daily life. How we can talk about our emotions using varied vocabulary; how and where we can access support; what we can do if we are worried about some else’s mental wellbeing; how we can use mindfulness techniques to feel calm and stay centred was shared by Mrs Kaur.
